Our Mentors
Our mentors check in on their mentees once a week by call
or text and some outings. They are present at our once a month
sessions and are responsible for circulating the conversations and keeping
the sessions active. Each mentor has 2-3 mentees directly under them.
Hakerra Singleton-Horton
Hakerra has a Bachelor's degree in finance with a concentration in management. Her active goals are to continue to build generational wealth and to teach others through their desired skill set.
Charise Chevis
Charise has tons of experience with working with all backgrounds of life. She has served in the corrections system and gives her time to our youth expressing the stories she had seen.
Alicia Allen
​Alicia has over 10 years of experience as a social worker in the non-profit agency sector. Case management, Advocacy, policy/program development and trauma informed care are a few of her areas of specialty.
Jessica Davis
​A branch manager for PNC Bank. Jessica collaborates with community development partners to offer financial literacy to students at North Carolina Central University, Morehead-Cain scholarship recipients at UNC Chapel Hill, the OHA Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and the Transitional Employment Initiative at SHIP Outreach Community Center, to name a few.
Jazmine Gantz
Jasmine obtained both a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s degree in 2010 and 2012. In 2020 Jazmine obtained her Doctorate degree in Public Health.
Tierra Burkett
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate from Jacksonville, NC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice & Masters Degree of Social Work. Tierra has over 6 years of experience in mentoring and mental health for children and adolescents.
