CLT Director
Ashly Washington
Ashly has a multitude of experience. Ashly herself serves as a foster mother. Her love goes far beyond what we can see for our youth. Ashly has worked in social work in Mecklenburg county. She is dedicated to helping make a change in the next generations to come to further help them succeed.
Board Member
Dee Moore
Dee has a B.A in Industrial Relations and a MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is the Director of Field Education and a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at North Carolina Central University.
Parent Liaison
Sparkle King
Sparkle is a graduate of North Carolina Central University. She is very passionate about helping our youth as well as helping the parents process the youth feelings and changes.
Executive Counsel
Deon Young
Pastor Deon earned his bachelors in pastoral studies and Christian counseling. He then recieved his Master's of Divinity in Theological and Seminar studies. Pastor Deon Young comes with a plethora of experiences working with youth from all backgrounds.
Director of Communications
Shaquilla Jones
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Shaquilla has ten years of experience providing mental health services to youth and adolescents. Her roles have included child advocate, forensic interviewer, behavioral specialist, and mental health therapist.
Director of Special Projects
Alicia Blount
Earned her Masters of Science in Nursing degree. She currently practices as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is a wife and mother of two young daughters. Alicia has experience serving as a girl scout troop leader.
Executive Assistant
Nicole Young
Nicole joins the team with over 20 years’ experience with young people. From owning a childcare facility for 18 years and being a foster parent for 3 years.
